EVENT DESCRIPTION
 
Have you ever thought about how you can assist students to navigate situations involving alcohol and other drugs challenges? By building their resilience you can assist them to make safer and more informed choices.
 
This workshop supports participants to reflect on best practice principles in alcohol and other drug (AOD) and unpack the whole school approach (WSA) process.
 
All costs are covered through funding from the Mental Health Commission.
 
  • There is no registration fee; and
  • Teacher relief payment is provided if required.
 
  • EXPLORE age-appropriate prevention education strategies, aligned to the WA Health and Physical Education Curriculum, that support students' personal and social skills using the Challenges and Choices (K-6) teacher and student resources.
  • DISCUSS how using a whole school approach can improve health outcomes.
