Vaping is a growing concern for school communities.
This workshop offers an insight into the uptake of vaping among young people and the role schools can play in addressing this emerging issue. 
Participants are guided to consider best practice principles and how to implement a whole school approach to drug education.
OUTCOME
LEARN about current research related to vaping among young people.
•             EXAMINE the health and safety concerns associated with e-cigarettes/vapes. 
•             EXPLORE information, resources and support available for school staff, parents/carers and
              young people.
•             DISCUSS current strategies aimed at preventing and reducing e-cigarette use.
•             UNDERSTAND how your school can implement a whole school approach to address vaping.
All costs are covered through funding from the Mental Health Commission.
•             There is no registration fee; and
•             Teacher Relief is available if required.
