EVENT DESCRIPTION Keys for Life / Keys 4 Life
The Keys4Life (face-to-face) workshop is compulsory for teachers (and non-school staff) who intend to implement the Keys4Life pre-driver program and administer the Learner's Permit Test. Keys4Life is relevant for secondary teachers working with Year 10–12 students and non-school staff working with young adults.
Participants receive Keys4Life registration authorising them to order resources, deliver a minimum of ten lessons, administer the Learner’s Permit Test, and receive and sign Keys4Life certificates.
All costs are covered through funding from the Road Safety Commission.
- There is no registration fee.
- Participants receive a complimentary Keys4Life resource pack
- Light catering is provided.
Eligibility to register for this event
Prior to the workshop all non-school and school staff must email either their Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Bachelor of Education to
rsde.rfa@education.wa.edu.au.
OUTCOMES
- UNDERSTAND what is required to administer ten Keys4Life lessons and the Learner’s Permit Test.
- EXAMINE, REVIEW, and INVESTIGATE resources, teaching strategies and content about positive road-user attitudes, vehicle safety, licencing and driving practise.
- UNDERSTAND how to enrol students at SCSA in one of the Keys4Life endorsed courses.
- EXPLORE how to engage parents/carers in Keys4Life.
